    My Background

I am a Berkeley graduate, a former engineer, and a professional clinical counselor trainee working toward a Master’s degree at the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. One of my greatest joys is holding safe space, listening to soul and Spirit, and honoring the beauty in every season of life. As a Japanese American, I have a special place in my heart for those who struggle with cultural issues, including shame and perfectionism. Whoever you are and wherever you are, I look forward to coming alongside you in your journey.

    Specialization

My specialties include anxiety, boundaries, cultural issues, depression, family of origin issues, life transitions, grief and loss, shame, spirituality, and stress management.

    Fun Facts about Eileen

I love basketball, being out in nature, hiking, frequenting farmers’ markets, and scrapbooking. In different seasons of my life, I have been a hardware engineer, a software engineer, and a stay-at-home mom. I have been married for 24 years, have two children, and enjoy playing board games with my family. Because my curious cat is often nearby, he occasionally pops into online meetings.
