About the Course

Christian Counseling Centers presents “Created for Connection:  The Art and Science of Loving Well” taught by Dr. Jim Furrow, held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Calvary Church Los Gatos.

This course explores the transforming role of emotion and attachment processes in restoring vitality to couple and family relationships. Building on empirical findings and clinical research this workshop reviews how recent advances in attachment and emotion theory shape the practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and its promise as a resource for lasting change.  Poignant clinical examples demonstrate pivotal moments in the EFT process of change and therapeutic strategies that promote healing and resilience.  Throughout Dr. Furrow examines the role of faith as a secure base for promoting and restoring relationships of redeeming purpose.
