 ABOUT JAMES:
James is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist at Christian Counseling Centers in San Mateo. He has a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Marriage, Family & Child Counseling and a Masters of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. He was licensed as a Marriage, Family and Child Counselor in 1987.

James worked as a pastor for thirteen years specializing in student, couples & singles ministries, as well as overseeing extensive pre-marital counseling, addiction and divorce recovery programs at a major church in the Bay Area. James left the church to work in business where he served as an executive for a major Silicon Valley company. He currently splits his time between significant business interests and counseling, and maintains an ongoing limited counseling practice.

Because of his unique blend of business, church and counseling experiences, James is able to offer insight into work, spiritual, personal and relational issues. He focuses his counseling practice on adults, couples and clergy, with an expertise in individual identity and family of origin issues. Additionally, he works extensively with men in the areas of relationships, business stress, conflict resolution, sexual addiction, divorce recovery and sexual abuse. He believes that the integration of psychology and faith are fundamental to significant life change.
