Jennifer is a licensed professional who understands that even the most capable of us have times when life becomes challenging and uncertain. Jennifer works collaboratively with her clients, creating a warm, supportive environment so clients feel able to explore their lives and concerns. Many of us have old narratives and distorted ways of thinking that no longer serve us. We might have harmful patterns of behavior and communication developed as ways to cope with childhood difficulties or trauma. These can produce ineffective relational dynamics that cause conflict with others. Jennifer uses her 20+ years of clinical experience and varied clinical tools and approaches to help her clients heal their pasts, regulate emotions and learn new skills and behaviors that can produce more satisfying lives and relationships.
Jennifer’s faith is an anchor in her own life and she integrates biblical truth into her counseling practice. Born and educated in the UK, she has made the San Francisco Bay Area her home now for many years. She has had the pleasure of raising 2 amazing girls with her husband of 25 years. Jennifer has also had the privilege of being invited to speak at Women’s Retreats and Pre-Marriage classes at churches in San Francisco.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Jennifer had a career in the Corporate world both in the UK and the US as a Human Resource Manager for an International company. She loves to travel with her family and hike with her dog, Ollie.
Jennifer is a certified Eating Disorder therapist. She is also trained in Prepare and Enrich and SYMBIS for premarital counseling, EMDR which has been shown to help resolve trauma, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Attachment based therapy and Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
