ABOUT JOHN:
John Patterson is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University. He has been practicing in Christian Psychotherapy since 1979 and is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, American Association of Christian Counselors, EMDR International Association, and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapists. John specializes in depression, anxiety and behavior disorders in adults; trauma resolution; post-traumatic stress disorder, including PTSD with war veterans; dissociative disorders, including DID; addictions; migraine headaches and recurring headaches; marriage therapy; sexual deviation disorders; and child and adolescent home and/or school behavior disorders. He has advanced training and extensive experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. John served for 11 years as manager of counseling, guidance, and career education for Santa Clara County Office of Education. Married since 1963, he has two adult children and loves spending time with his four grandchildren.
