     ABOUT LINDA:
Linda Ringsrud is a graduate of John F. Kennedy University and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been counseling for eight years. Linda has found people naturally grow and change for the good when given the opportunity. She works with single adults, parents, couples, teens, and families.

Her work with couples communication is based on 35 years of research on the subject by the Gottman Institute. Her parent coaching is based on the 30 years of work by the founders of Love and Logic Parenting. She uses skill and compassion to bring individualized support to each client.
As a member of Alanon, Linda enjoys working with those challenged by addictions or those in relationship with people who struggle with addictive behaviors, which can be the result of sexual, emotional, physical, or psychological abuse or trauma.

In addition to working in private practice, her experience includes functioning as a school counselor for two elementary schools and one high school, running groups for Teen Challenge (residential drug treatment center), and presenting on communication and relationships at churches.

Linda offers an initial, no-charge phone consultation, and evening appointments.

Prior to her counseling career, for ten years Linda was a writer, editor, and project leader at Apple Computer, Inc. She has been married for 21 years and loves on her twin sons, now in college. She enjoys hiking, biking, traveling, and writing.
