Lisa has experience working with clients with addiction, codependency, co-occuring mental health issues, depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disabilities, Schizophrenia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder and other personality and mood disorders.

People often describe her as having a big heart and a peaceful and calming presence, which she attributes to her faith in God. She takes a non-judgmental approach, meeting her clients where they are at so they can process their thoughts and emotions freely, find healing, explore new ideas and perspectives, gain new insight and reach new goals for their life. She enjoys helping her clients find hope, healing, and freedom.

She is especially passionate about helping vulnerable populations who have experienced oppression, coercion, violence, trauma, abuse or mistreatment and empower them to take courage, help them establish safety, heal, and find their voice. This includes helping women who have experienced intimate partner abuse (emotional, sexual/physical or spiritual) or those who have been impacted by their partner’s sexual addiction or infidelity.

Lisa also has a heart for children or teens who have experienced neglect, abuse, or abandonment, are in the foster care system or are adopted. She enjoys being a support to foster and adoptive parents as well.

She customizes her client’s treatment to what is most effective for them. Some therapeutic treatments that she uses include: 12-step model (addiction recovery), Client-Centered approach, Grief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Divorce Recovery, Mindfulness, Attachment Therapy, and Art Therapy. She is always striving to learn new ways to help her clients.

Lisa loves nothing better than to see how God heals, transforms, restores and renews her clients’ lives.

In her personal time, she enjoys movies, art, photography, baking, dancing, singing/karaoke, music, and spending time with friends and family.
