Melinda Olsen is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who received her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. She received her B.A. in International Relations and Religious Studies from Scripps College in Claremont, CA. After her time at Scripps, she served college students through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Occidental College in Eagle Rock, CA, and continued her work serving the undergraduate population as an MFT trainee and MFT Intern at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA.

Melinda has a special passion for working with college students and emerging adults who are often undergoing major life transitions. Melinda’s specific areas of specialty include self esteem/identity issues, spiritual issues, family of origin issues, grief/loss, life transitions, trauma, and women’s issues. Melinda is also certified in PREPARE/ENRICH and has special training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT). Melinda strongly believes that it is a deep privilege to be able to walk alongside and hear the stories of those she counsels in their journeys towards health and wholeness.

Melinda has been happily married to her loving husband Joe for 6 years. She will always be an Oregon girl at heart, and enjoys nature, hiking, good coffee, good wine, Ducks football, and rain. In addition, she loves to sing, eat good food, read, watch movies, and spend time with her friends and family.
