     ABOUT MICHAEL:
Think of your life as a story. All stories contain ups and downs, joys and sorrows, successes and failures. We all have a story…unfortunately we do not get to write the story ourselves. The story of each of our lives is filled with twists and turns and outcomes that most of us might never choose. That is because, as our story plays out, it intersects and bumps up against the stories of other people. And those other people’s stories, just like ours, are subject to similar pain and suffering; similar joys and sorrows; similar frustrations; similar fractured relationships; similar mistakes and bad choices; and the same shame and guilt that seems to be a byproduct of all those things. Although our stories often contain joy, contentment, and love we all experience pain and suffering at some point, don’t we? Life is messy…our stories are messy…and we cannot live out our stories alone. We need to ask for help…asking for help is okay. So what chapter are you in right now?

Mike is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who completed his master’s degree at Western Seminary in 2015. He received his B.A. in Advertising from San Jose State University and recently retired from High Tech after 35+ years. He has been involved in numerous church ministries over the years serving in both Junior High and High School ministries. Mike is passionate about Men and their issues, having spent many years on the Men’s Ministry leadership team of a large local church. He was also trained as a Stephen Ministries counselor.

His passion is to take his faith in God, family history, life experiences, education and training to offer compassionate care for those struggling with a variety of issues including Men’s Issues, premarital and marital counseling, family of origin issues, and other relationships issues.

Mike is originally from the East Coast (Maryland/New York) and spent his adolescent years living abroad in Israel and Chile. He has been married for 36 years and has three adult children and is greatly enjoying the empty nest!

“We change our behavior when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of changing. Consequences give us the pain that motivates us to change.”
