 ABOUT SOPHIE:
Sophie is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee who is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University. Before moving to California, she received a Master’s Degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University.

She is passionate about helping her clients heal, grow, and flourish—no matter what challenges they face and aim to overcome. Sophie’s experience prior to joining CCCSJ includes researching meaning in life, teaching public speaking and character strengths development, and writing about the psychological benefits of mindfulness.

As your counselor, she will tailor her therapeutic approach to your needs, integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, existential therapy, positive psychotherapy, and evidence-based relaxation practices.

Originally from Germany, Sophie loves cooking, gardening, and exploring the beauty of the great American outdoors with her husband, family, and friends.
