Cason graduated from China Graduate School of Theology (CGST) in 2014, continuing his studies on Bowen Theory and practices in the counseling of members of churches in Hong Kong since 2010 until present in the US. His sincere and enthusiastic personality, as well as nearly 28 years of working experiences in various Asian and Middle East countries helps to connect with clients with multi-cultural backgrounds.

As an active member of church and as deacon and spiritual leader since 2010, Cason has helped many believers to integrate the core belief of Christianity in marital life and workspace. With over 28 years of working experience in international business from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia to India, Pakistan and the Middle East, he is able to connect with clients with multicultural backgrounds that often easies the trust-building process with clients. The openness and understanding of a counselor sets up a solid platform for more efficient communication between client and counselor.

Besides being a therapist, Cason has a background in engineering, manufacturing, organizational leadership, higher education, profit and non-profits business development. Cason has insight in multi-cultural perspectives and has worked with different English speaking peoples across the globe. Not only does Cason work in counseling, he is also a director working for a middle sized multi-international company. Having traveled to many different foreign countries, Cason has sensitivity and working experiences in cross-cultural, different ethnicity and religious settings. Cason is an American-Chinese man who was raised in Hong Kong. He has a teenage child and is married for 20 years. He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Cason’s clinical approach integrates concepts of Bowen Family System Therapy, Solution focused Therapy, Experiential Family Therapy and Emotional Focus Therapy. The role of the therapist functions as the coach to the family, and the goal is to reduce the anxiety through interventions. Therefore, Bowen Theory believes the differentiation of the self of the therapist and are the main tools to help clients become more differentiated thus reduce anxiety level. In addition, marital couples may regain emotional support and a new way of communication. As a result, both parties may find more intimacy and be secure within their relationship. By creating a safe environment to help couples to explore their way for emotional connection, reconciliation and the reduction of anxiety ensues.
