ABOUT JANIE:
I went into the field of psychotherapy with a passion for people. I am highly relational, warm and accepting. I try to help people gain insight into how the past has impacted them for the better and for the worse. We can’t change the details of our story, but we can change what we believe about ourselves in the midst of our narrative. My commitment is to give people space to tell their story in a space of non-judgment and acceptance and support them on the journey toward change.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Excelsior College in 2005 and a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Seminary in 2008.

I am also an Adjunct Professor at my alma mater, Western Seminary. I am a learner by nature and I love teaching students in their journey to become therapists. I try to communicate the same passion of teaching to my clients knowing we all have the capacity for growth.
