Wilson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), and a Level II Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II). He received his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy with an addiction certificate from Western Seminary, San Jose, and his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas, Austin. He works with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families on issues including:

  • Life transition stresses (teenage, mid-life, identity and attachment crises)
  • Strained relationships (pre-marital, marital, parent-child, peer, inter-generations)
  • Adoption/foster-children/family transitions and stresses
  • Diversity/cross-cultural adjustments and communications
  • Spiritual issues
  • Substance abuse, sexual, and behavioral addictions
  • Men’s issues.

Wilson is a Prepare-Enrich facilitator (https://www.prepare-enrich.com) for pre-marital counseling. He is trained in Brief Strategy Family Therapy (BSFT), a type of family therapy that is short-term (5-8 sessions), solution-focused, structure and system based. Wilson has prior clinical experience and training in working as a community-based child and adolescent (K-12) therapist for foster/adopt families in Santa Clara County, and as a Drug and Alcohol counselor in an inpatient rehab facility in Santa Cruz County.

Born and raised in Hong Kong and having spent most of his adult years in the States, Wilson is fluent in Cantonese, English, and speaks Mandarin as well. Prior to counseling, Wilson has 10+ years of Engineering and Product Marketing experience in the Bay Area semiconductor industry.

Wilson has a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families reach their full potential by overcoming hindrances, identifying their strengths, and realizing their true identities. Using his combined skill sets, he enjoys promoting an integrated approach to faith and mental health, and supporting missionaries, pastors, and lay-leaders. He is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), East Bay Therapist Association (East Bay CAMFT), and California Association of Alcoholism Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC).
