 ABOUT DIANA:
Diana is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) trainee studying at Palo Alto University. She received her undergraduate degree in International Studies, specializing in Cross cultural Communications and Ethnic Indigenous Identity and minored in Chinese from the University of Oregon. After graduating, she then worked in different educational settings, including international and bilingual schools in Beijing and non-profit organizations and clinics in the Bay Area to support children and adolescents with educational and language support. During her time as a teacher, she has worked with diverse populations of children, teens, parents, and adults from all walks of life. After returning to the U.S. to pursue her M.A. in Counseling, she started working in the healthcare field because of her passion for mental health care, including working with children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, and crisis.
As a MFT trainee, she strives to provide holistic psychological services which promote individual growth, psychological health, and spiritual wellness. She understands that each client is a unique individual influenced by his or her culture, family, values and beliefs, and personal identity, and strives to honor and respect the uniqueness of each person. Psychological treatment starts with clearly understanding and identifying the person’s goals and creating open and honest communication about how to achieve those goals. In her work, she seeks to alleviate psychological suffering in clients, promote a positive sense of self and self-esteem, lessen the experience of anxiety and worry, help clients nurture and discover ways to enjoy and make the most of their lives, engage in healthy behaviors, and increase clients’ sense of meaning and purpose in life.
