     ABOUT GRETA:
Greta has over 14 years of experience working in both Protestant and Catholic Churches in the areas of Pastoral Care, Adult Faith Formation and Outreach. She received her Masters of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology/Spirituality from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. She earned her Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2015 and has since completed 4,000 clinical hours. She is currently preparing for the licensing exam.

In her work as an Associate Pastor and as a Pastoral Associate, Greta has enjoyed leading prayer/spirituality groups, faith formation groups/Bible Studies, and working with children, youth and families. She also has two years of experience working with at-risk youth in a residential treatment facility in Oakland and has volunteered for over 10 years serving the poor and homeless in Oakland. During her years serving people in pastoral care capacity in Churches, Greta has discovered the power of affirming the dignity and unique giftedness of each individual she has served in the midst of their crisis or pain.

Greta has four years of clinical experience with CCC Hayward. She has a strength-based approach to the healing work of therapy which honors the unique combination of strengths and gifts each person employs in order to engage the healing process in the midst of the crisis (e.g. personal, relational, physical, spiritual), confusion or pain. Greta is aware that the healing process is a sacred journey entered into by both the therapist and the client. Aware that acknowledging and affirming the dignity and giftedness of each person who comes to her is foundational for sound healing work, Greta seeks to make the affirmation and non-judgmental support of each person primary for the healing work she engages in with her client.

On a more personal note, Greta has back-packed around the world by herself and has lived in different countries which has informed her own personal and spiritual journey. She loves music; has cantored at the Cathedral and many other Churches in the bay area as well as composing songs on the guitar. She enjoys being active; hiking, swimming, playing tennis and going for long walks with friends. She also enjoys giving talks and retreats with ordained friends of hers in various churches in the Bay Area.
