Janene is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Christian Counseling Centers, providing teletherapy to individuals and couples throughout California. She serves as a speaker for the Christian Counseling Centers’ HOPE @ HOME church and school seminar/workshop series for parents and families.
Janene is a compassionate and skilled psychotherapist. She is passionate about her work helping others find healing and transformation. Janene offers hope and tools to individuals and couples who are hurting, struggling, or experiencing a transition in their lives. She has been providing effective psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families for over eight years, and has served for 17 years as a paraprofessional grief counselor at Hospice of Santa Cruz County.
The focus of her clinical work includes couple, pre-marriage, and family counseling, where she utilizes evidence-based Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT). She also works with individuals struggling in areas of anxiety, depression, childhood abuse, divorce recovery, grief/loss, childhood wounds, affair recovery, interpersonal relationships, trauma, self-esteem, and spiritual issues.
Janene is a firm believer in the power of gratitude. She is happily married, a mother of four adult children, and a grandmother to 13 precious grandchildren. She is an artist, primary in oil and watercolor, enjoys cycling, and loves to spend quality time with family and loved ones.
