     ABOUT JANENE:
    Janene is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at the Christian Counseling Center in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz Country, and serves as is a speaker for the Christian Counseling Centers’ HOPE @ HOME church and school seminar/workshop series for parents and families. She also enjoys a private practice in TeleTherapy that serves individuals and couples throughout California.

    Janene is a compassionate and skilled psychotherapist. She is passionate about her work helping others find healing and transformation. Janene offers hope and tools to individuals and couples who are hurting, struggling, or experiencing a transition in their lives. She has been providing effective psychotherapy for over 12 years, and has served for 17 years as a paraprofessional grief counselor at Hospice of Santa Cruz County.

    The focus of her clinical work includes working with individuals struggling in areas of anxiety, depression, childhood abuse, divorce recovery, grief/loss, childhood wounds, affair recovery, interpersonal relationships, complex trauma, self-esteem, and spiritual issues. She is deeply trained in IFS, EMDR, and Brainspotting. She also works with couples and family counseling, where she utilizes Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT).

    Janene is a firm believer in the power of gratitude. She is happily married, a mother of four adult children, and a grandmother to 13 precious grandchildren. She is an artist, primary in oil and watercolor, enjoys cycling, and loves to spend quality time with family and loved ones.
