ABOUT LACEY:
Have you ever wondered why you were engaging in behaviors or activities knowing that they would result in negative consequences for yourself? Even with this knowledge, you continued the behavior and could not understand why? I know I have. My name is Lacey, a Marriage and Family Therapy and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor trainee looking forward to building a meaningful and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
I hold a Bachelor’s of Science from San Jose State University and am currently working toward a Master’s of Arts from Touro University Worldwide.
I am a trauma-informed, person-centered clinician with professional experience with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, as well as children and adults with autism.
Under the cloak of trauma, societal expectations, fear, and limiting beliefs, I believe each person possesses the ability to live a life in alignment with their highest good. Each person is the expert in their situation and often needs a greater sense of awareness of how to become the person they desire. That is where I come in. Therefore, my approach integrates emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused therapy dependent on individual client needs.
I enjoy dancing, doing yoga, writing, and taking walks in nature in my free time.
My favorite quote is “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel” by the late Dr. Maya Angelou. My hope is that in our experience together, you will feel my love of service and for people above all.
I am available for in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. In-person sessions are preferred.
