Therapy is a time and space for you. It is a place to bring your unique experiences and perspectives with acceptance and support. It is a time for you to explore any emotional, relational, or mental challenges you may be dealing with. Many times in life we are faced with difficult and complex seasons, in which our former ways of operating or perceiving the world no longer work. The space in therapy is a safe environment to discover these personal blind spots and find new ways of relating to others and to understand circumstances differently than before.
Mimi uses evidence-based approaches and works with adults, teens, families and couples. She is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LMFT#96415, www.bbs.ca.gov). She has been a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists since 2005. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a health psychology emphasis and received her B.S. in Biology from Stanford University. Her past counseling experience includes Youth and Family Services with the City of Fremont, Biblical Counseling Ministry of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, and Career Development Center at Stanford University. She began her therapy practice at Christian Counseling Centers in 2013.
