About this Therapist

Melody has her Master of Arts in Counseling. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at UCLA and attended two years of ministry school in Redding, California.

Through her own journey of healing from anxiety, codependency, perfectionism, loss, and shame, Melody is passionate about walking alongside others as they receive their own healing and freedom, providing a safe, shame-free space of empathy and acceptance for clients to be themselves and share their hearts, supporting them wherever they are at in their life journey. Impacted by her own particular healing journey, she desires to help individuals heal from their past wounds, overcome their fears, and find freedom from unhelpful habitual thoughts and behaviors, so that they can experience true joy again. Melody’s hope is that every client would feel heard, seen, encouraged, and more hopeful in every session.

More About this therapist

As a 1.5 generation Chinese/Taiwanese American and a pastor’s/missionary’s kid, she knows personally how it feels to be stuck between three cultures (i.e., American, Chinese, and church culture) and is often a bridge between parents and their children, helping parents hear their children’s hearts, encouraging them, and empathizing with young people’s struggles.

In her free time, she loves to play music, sing, karaoke and hike with her husband, do Pilates, and bake. She loves dogs, learning new languages, and also has a passion for American Sign Language and the Deaf community.

Melody is open to seeing clients in-person and via telehealth. She looks forward to meeting you and joining you on your journey of healing.
