Sophia is a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee at Christian Counseling Centers who believes that it takes strength to seek support and choosing to go to therapy is one of the bravest things a person can do. Before beginning her journey as a therapist, she spent several years as a preschool and kindergarten teacher, which shaped her deep appreciation and understanding of the emotional world of children and the power of connection in times of vulnerability.

Sophia's background continues to inform her clinical work today, particularly when working with children, adolescents, and families navigating transitions, anxiety, relational stress, or identity development. Sophia's approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in empathy; she strives to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel truly seen and heard. She draws from attachment-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered frameworks, with a focus on each person’s unique story, strengths, and environmental context. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply wanting to make a change, Sophia is here to support you in that process and is honored to walk alongside clients as they explore, heal, and grow.
