Presented by: Luke Wilkerson, M.A. MFT Associate
Disconnected from your kids? Repeating the same conflicts over and over again? This workshop helps you identify the triggers that keep those conflicts repeating and offers you insight to develop a nurturing and connected home.
- “Setting Boundaries”
Presented by: Jamie Holden, M.A., MFT Associate
Boundaries are an essential building block in growing healthy families. Not only do they provide a safe place for children and teens to practice life skills such as compromise, working as a team, and self-control; but fostering boundaries also teaches children to become more aware of the needs of others. This workshop encourages parents to reflect on the current boundaries established in the home, and offers direction towards implementing new boundaries in effective ways
- “Technology and Parenting”Presented by: Alex Helenius, M.A., MFT Associate
Technology is impacting our world more and more every day, and the access our kids have to it is unlimited. With the widespread use of smart phones and social media, parents are struggling with how to navigate these uncharted waters. In this seminar, we will discuss the impact of social media and technology on our kids and some of the ways we can create healthy boundaries for our families.
- “Anxiety and Depression”
Presented by: Candice Candelaria, M.M.F.T., Marriage & Family Therapist
Anxiety and depression disrupt many of our homes these days. They settle into our lives seemingly unannounced and set up residency without asking permission. While a degree of these feelings are something everyone experiences throughout life, there can come a time when they interfere with our relationships and responsibilities. This workshop is tailored to equip you and your family to spot risk factors for their occurrence, identify their presence, and deal with these undesired guests.
- “Helping Your Child Develop a Healthy Self-Worth”
Presented by: Tenisha Ellis, M.S.W., Associate Clinical Social Worker
Join us as we discuss how to raise kids who flourish, rooted in the understanding they are designed by God. We will look to the Bible to learn how to help our children and teens re-frame their brokenness and negative thoughts through the Truth of our Heavenly Father’s perspective.
